Settling In At The Tin Shop - Now through July 16th

The Fourth of July holiday is behind us now and what a weekend it was in Breckenridge! I arrived Thursday and found my studio and upstairs apartment at the Tin Shop waiting for me. Unpacking and hanging up my Network Tapestry collection took awhile but it looks great.

In between, I have had a steady stream of visitors from all over. The Summit Daily News sent a photographer and a great story with the details appeared in print and on-line on July 3rd. jazz89 KUVO-FM also aired an interview with me. Several parents have already signed up their kids for my free "Geode" felt making workshop.

In between, I'm starting to work on my "armatures" project, incorporating metal wire frames into 3-dimensional felted sculptures. Oh, and I got a chance to get up close and visit with the famous Budweiser Clydesdale Horse Team, in town for fabulous 4th of July parade that went right by my windows. I learned they each drink 30 gallons of water a day. Imagine how much they must eat!
With all the holiday crowds thinning out, now's the perfect time to come on up and have a chance to see my work and learn about contemporary felt making. Open Studio hours are 11AM-7PM Wednesday-Sunday, through the 16th. I look forward to welcoming you - a block off of Main Street at Washington - just look for the colorful felted lace banners swinging from the trees! - PJ
