Network TapestryTM are off to Scotland to participate in The Felt America in Scotland exhibition which opens March 4th 2009 at the beautiful Birnam Arts Centre in Dunkfeld, north of Perth. On the west bank of the River Tay, lies Birnam whose woods feature in Macbeth. The Birnam Arts & Conference Centre has its origins in the scheme initiated by John Kinnaird, the local stationmaster, in 1880 to create a community facility for “education and entertainment”. The new Centre opened in 2001 where it is a magnet for the arts.
PJ’s “Aquifer II” felted wool tapestry was selected for the month-long exhibition featuring felt artists from across the United States. “Aquifer II” is felted in shades of yellow, blue and green.
